Approximately 40 people were in attendance at the Burnett Garden Club 30th Anniversary party held on June 21 at the Grantsburg Library Community Room. Five founding members were honored as well as our dear departed founding member, Lucille Danielson, and our current club president, founding member and the heart of our club Kris Henning. The press was represented by two reporters from the Sentinel. Kris thanked everyone for coming and pointed out the tree the club planted in honor of Lucille just outside on the east side of the building. Dean Faulhaber of Wood River Garden Store and founding member gave a short talk on the founding of the club. The Grantsburg Village Board was represented by Caylin Muelberg who spoke on the importance of the garden club in beautifying our community. Many wonderful prizes were given out over the course of the evening. We were entertained throughout the evening with blue grass tunes provided by Bob and Kelly Andrewson.

A huge, huge, huge thank you to Mary Charmoli for chairing the 30th Anniversary Committee. We are lucky to have this professional to rely on. Not one detail was overlooked. Her hard work made for a flawless evening! And thank you Mary for the wonderful prizes you coordinated. And thank you to everyone who pitched in and helped from providing fruit, bars, flowers from their gardens and prizes, to decorating, setup, serving and clean up to making sure the library gardens looked good and welcoming our guests (thank you Janet). And thank you to Charlene for the wonderful musicians. They really made the evening special. And thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with us!
