Why a blog?

The Burnett Garden Club will soon be loosing our website on the Burnett County server. While we decide where we want to be hosted and build our new website, we will use this blog as our connection to club members and to the outside world of gardeners and other interested parties!

Our purpose at the Burnett Garden Club is to promote education and enthusiasm about gardening in and around our homes and communities, to energize our members and to get the creative juices flowing. A blog can be a useful tool for us in promoting our club and our club's purpose as it provides a forum for the exchange of information and ideas.

We invite club members and other gardeners to submit material on any subject related to gardening to be posted on this blog. This can include links to useful websites, infomation on gardening related events, gardening tips and ideas, original how-to articles, and pictures of your garden or other gardens you have toured with descriptive text. Submit these via email, with an appropriate subject line, to pameladavies@yahoo.com . Be sure to include the source for any text or photos that may be copyrighted.






Posting photos is fun and easy. Be sure to send photos saved as .jpg files at low resolution (around 500 kb) for easy uploading. Include captions with your photos.
