PRESENTATION: Mary Charmoli presented on Orchids. She has a “growing" interest in raising orchids. She shared what she has learned from books and forums. She has 10-12 orchids of her own.
She talked about 9 different varieties of orchids—species and common name.  She gave general care tips for growing orchids—Buy plants in bloom, consider your growing conditions—Orchids need
temperatures greater than 65 degrees, humidity, light, but no direct sunlight, plenty of room to grow,  and  they can’t sit in water. Orchids prefer to grow in small pots, NEVER pot in potting soil.  She included a
2 page handout. Mary assured us that they are affordable, and can be raised in NW Wisconsin , even without a green thumb.

REFRESHMENTS: Kris and Ruth brought goodies. Thanks
