Rain threatened the Denim and Plaid garden party at Charlene's on June 22 but skies cleared and the evenings repast couldn't have enjoyed better weather. Charlene's gardens were at their best. The menu was well rounded and, as usual, delicious. Charlene's calico beans were a big hit; the recipe can be found in the garden club cookbook! Approximately 15 members and friends attended. It was great to see Lucille and to welcome Sharon Johnson as a guest.
