The planning meeting held at Woodlands Pub Grille on Thursday, October 22 was fun and successful. Kristie, Mary G., Pam, Janet and Becky attended. A calendar of meetings and events was hammered out for 2010. Highlights include workshops to make twig trellises and rhubarb leaf birdbaths; presentations on planting and using garlic and on ornamental grasses just to mention a few. We will be asking for input from the club at our next meeting on which of three garden tours members would like to include in our summer schedule--Munsinger Garden in St. Cloud, Rick Rock's Landscaping in Baldwin or Edelweiss Nursery in Duluth. We hope everyone will share any personal experience with these gardens and other attractions in the areas that we might include in the tour since each of these is about 2.5 hours from Grantsburg.
